We just wanted to say thank you all so much for 2009! What a mind blowing year!
Together we broke practically every record there was! We performed at the biggest parties each holiday! WET @ the ROOSEVELT was the biggest Labour Day event in LA welcoming 7000 people! NOCTURNAL FESTIVAL hosted 60'000 people, HALLOWEEN at THE ROOSEVELT sold out weeks in advance, NYE at THE ROOSEVELT broke attendance records, NYE after hours at VANGUARD was by far and away the biggest after hours in LA, XIV SUNDAY TERRACE parties were the most infamous and epic parties of the year, FRIDAYS @ FOXTAIL were the biggest weekend parties in Hollywood, FRIDAYS @ HYDE broke ROBERT DE NIRO and LINDSAY LOHANS record, TRIGGER in San Francisco became the biggest club in the city, we opened practically every new venue in L.A, performed with many of the worlds biggest and best producers and held the busiest events at each venue we performed in, as well as putting a 15 year old venue (THE SUNSET STANDARDS PURPLE LOUNGE) at the pinnacle of the LA clubbing landscape again with our Saturday night institution ELECTRONIQUE BOUTIQUE! We performed at the biggest pool party in LAS VEGAS at CAESARS PALACE, hit NYC fashion week for the now legendary and uber exclusive BUNGALOW 8 and proved that HOUSE MUSIC is a huge artistic force across the globe!
We ended the year by selling out every venue we touched across the US, including the amazing WALL LOUNGE inside the red hot W HOTEL IN MIAMI and had a hit single with our remix of ANDY CALDWELLS "SCREAM" anthem!
HOUSE MUSIC has become an incredible movement in the club scene and we think that the culture is much more friendly, united, loving, fun and open because of that! It's you guys that are responsible for such success and we wanted to offer our heart felt gratitude for all the fun!
Towards the end of 2009, people started to celebrate the past year and talk about it fondly as if we had seen the passing of something beautiful! As if we were going to slow down! You know us better than that!
On the contrary, we have only just begun! We are working tirelessly on productions, our events diary is already scary, every venue owner is blowing up our phones and our family of friends grows bigger and closer each day! A more international touring schedule lies ahead of us personally, remixes are under way and our crew of talented artists expands faster than we can keep up! This thing is a huge cultural movement! Not just musically, it's all inclusive from art to fashion! Legends are being made and it's too late to stop it, even if we wanted to!
WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE, IT IS TRUE THAT GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR US AND MANY PEOPLE IN THE HOUSE MUSIC SCENE! THAT'S PRETTY COOL, BUT THE MOST ENJOYABLE THING ABOUT THE YEAR WAS ALL THE NEW FRIENDS WE MADE! IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO THANK YOU ALL INDIVIDUALLY, BUT SAFE TO SAY THAT IF WE HAVE EVER SHARED A MOMENT, A MIXING DESK DECK, A HUG, HANDSHAKE OR EVEN A HEART SHAPED HAND GESTURE FROM ACROSS THE DANCE FLOOR, IT HAS MEANT MORE THAN YOU KNOW TO US! YOU ARE ALL WELCOME AT OUR TABLE, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE ROOM! ALL WE ASK IS THAT YOU COME WITH AN OPEN HEART AND AN OPEN MIND, AN ACCEPTANCE OF ONE ANOTHER'S SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES AND HOPEFULLY A LOVE OF MUSIC! NO MATTER WHAT SEX, SEXUALITY, RACE, RELIGION OR SOCIAL STATUS YOU MAY BE, YOU ARE ALL VERY WELCOME TO BE A PART OF OUR EXTENDED FAMILY OF FRIENDS! WE ARE ONE!
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ALL THE INSANITY! LET'S KEEP THIS THING OUT OF CONTROL!
